It’s an exciting time for Cefn Ila because the Woodland Trust have been given initial approval by Heritage Lottery Fund to develop detailed plans for a project. A full grant submission will be made in autumn 2013 and if successful then work would start in 2014!
The Woodland Trust want to work with local people and organisations to get your feedback on Cefn Ila, and to help us plan the best direction for the future of the site.
We are currently undertaking extensive public consultation, and there are lots of ways you can get involved and make your voice heard.
If you are local to Usk then why not pop in to one of our informal drop-in events next week. They are free to attend, and open to everyone, no need book – just turn up.
There will be drop-in consultation at Usk Rural Life Museum on Tuesday 13th August 2013 from 11.00-13.00.
Then there will a family friendly event at Usk Library on Tuesday 13th August 2013 from 2- 4pm with FREE kids activities all about bats!
Come and say hi to Kate who will be there to listen to your thoughts and ideas.
